Biar is a beautiful historic village in Alicante. It's located on a small hill, surrounded by pine forests. As soon as you get there you will be surprised by how pure the air is! The town boasts an impressive castle built in the XIII century.
The hotel
Accommodation is in the newly refurbished Hotel Villa de Biar****, formerly a palace for the "Vizconde de Valdesoto". The hotel is just 30 miles from Alicante.
Volunteers are accommodated in single rooms, full-board.
The Vizconde de Valdesoto Restaurant in the hotel offers typical local gastronomy with a twist. (Including delicious cheese ice-cream or salty-chocolate!).
How to get there
Biar is very well communicated by road (25 minutes from Alicante). Free parking at the hotel is available for volunteers.
You can also use our free transport service to get to the hotel. We can pick you up from Alicante airport or Alicante train station.
